“I have been living a life of addiction for many years and I need employment to get my life on track. The sobriety house I was living in had restrictions on time and schedule, and with my poor work history, I was having a difficult time finding a job.
Hope Market Place took a chance on me and gave me a job. I learned a lot through the daily (paid) Bible Studies, and I continued to work and save while living a sober life.
Eventually, I graduated from the program and was able to afford to move out on my own. I was able to get on with one of the large companies here in Enid because of my solid work history with Hope and their kind reference. I am thankful to be leading a productive and sober life.”

However, beyond funding, we can use the Market Place and Warehouse to provide employment opportunities for many who cannot find employment elsewhere because of past experiences. Our goal for these employees is to build a good work history with us so they can move on to better career opportunities with our references.

“I was in prison for 7 years. Upon my release, I wanted to live a different life than before I went to prison. I was accepted into the Transitions Ministry. Not only did they help me get a job, but I continued to build my faith by attending church and participating in the life skills lessons taught at the ministry. I paid off all of my fines and got my driver’s license. I purchased a car and saved enough money to move back to my hometown and get an apartment.
Because of Transitions, I have a steady job, I have become the worship leader at my church, and I wound up reconciling with my family and got my two young boys back so I could raise them in Christ.”
